To create valuable insights and generate actionable data on the sound levels produced during offshore installation, Heerema recently used the Sorama CAM iV64 sound camera.
A typical challenge is radiating sound that travels over the water that can potentially cause damage to the environment. In this particular case, we used the CAM iV64 to localize and visualize the sound from offshore piling operations to measure airborne sound levels.
By minimizing the airborne sound, noise pollution is kept to a minimum for people on land, as well as marine life!
