The Sorama Portal will be updated on January 8th 2019 between 17.00 and 18:00 (UTC +01:00).
This release contains mainly improvements for the Analysis workflow. There are improvements for Time Analysis, Far Field Probe Analysis, and disabling broken microphones and MP4 video export. Also, the audio and webcam synchronization has improved significantly.
In addition, we announce a change in URL for the Silverlight and Stream Portal
Portal URL Change
Combined with this release we’ll update the URL address for the Portal.
As of December 18th, the “New Portal” will move to https://portal.sorama.eu.
The older Portal running on Silverlight will still be available at https://oldportal.sorama.eu.
Time Analysis: RMS values and zooming on both axes
You can now view time signals in RMS values [Pa], so that it is easier to compare changes in loudness in time. It is now also possible to zoom over the both axes, rather then only over the x-axis.
Far Field Analysis: directly listen to probe, improved time sync webcam and audio
Placing probes was already possible, but you can now directly listen to probes from within the Far Field Analysis window. In addition, the synchronization between the webcam and audio is improved.
Far Field and Near Field Analysis: Export MP4
Now you can export high resolution .MP4 files with a frame rate up to 150 frames per second. For Far Field and Near Field analysis.
All Analysis types: turn off incorrect microphones
It sometimes happens that a microphone behaves weirdly. It isn’t necessary to replace your complete acoustic camera. You can now easily track these microphones and remove them from your analysis. This way, they do not influence your measurement anymore.
Sorama Acquisition Service:
The changes require an updated version of the Sorama Acquisition Service. This means that you will have to update the acquisition service after December 18th in order to be able to use the Sorama Portal.
The Sorama Portal will be offline on January 8th between 17.00 and 18:00 (UTC +01:00). Please contact us if this time is inconvenient for you.
We hope you will enjoy the new improvements and, as always, we appreciate your feedback!
