On July 15 Sorama moved to the new office at Strijp-S, Torenallee 20 in Eindhoven. It is located on the seventh floor of the Videolab, which has a rich history in the development of groundbreaking technologies. Amongst others the CD, DVD and Blu-Ray disc were industrialised and standardised in this building.
The new office means plenty of room for Sorama to grow and expand our activities. There is more office space, an in-house measurement facility with an isolated room and a demonstration area where the Sorama technology can be shown to its full extent. Together with the upcoming commercial launch of the new Sorama Cam this is a great milestone for the company.
Nowadays, Strijp-S is a thriving community with many young companies and a growing number of technology spin-offs. The area also houses a diverse pallet of restaurants and cultural activities and is the host of festivals like Glow-S (spectacular Eindhoven light festival), Dutch Design Week, Brabant Open Air and the STRP Biënnale (STRP links art, life and technology for a wide and curious audience). This makes it an inspiring environment with many opportunities for Sorama.
The Videolab is easy to reach both by car and public transportation. There is plenty of parking space, busses arrive every few minutes and the Eindhoven Beukenlaan train station is only a 5 minute walk.
