A software team is preparing to scale a new platform. Management wants to strengthen security controls. Employees expect seamless and reliable collaboration tools, while external auditors need clear evidence of our compliance efforts.
You are at the center of it all. You identify risks before they become problems, translate business needs into technology decisions and ensure Sorama has an IT environment that supports growth rather than slowing it down.
During the day you review Azure security improvements, discuss business continuity with leadership and coach another colleague through a complex technical challenge. By the end of the day you have not simply solved incidents. You have helped the organization become more secure, efficient and future ready.
Why this role matters
As IT Specialist, you play a key role in shaping and advancing Sorama's IT landscape. You combine technical leadership with hands-on execution. You own the evolution of our Microsoft 365, Azure, networking, endpoint management and security environments.
You enjoy building, improving and standardizing IT solutions, and you can lead technical initiatives from idea through implementation. You help shape Sorama’s IT roadmap while remaining actively involved in daily IT operations, support and continuous improvement.
This is not a managerial role, it is a hands-on role in which you work collaboratively with our existing IT Specialist, internal stakeholders and external partners. Together, you strengthen Sorama’s IT capabilities, with each colleague contributing complementary experience and expertise.
What will you do
- Execute IT operations while remaining hands-on in daily technical execution.
- Own Microsoft 365, Azure, networking, endpoint management, and cybersecurity.
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and reliable IT infrastructure.
- Drive automation, standardization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead cybersecurity, compliance, business continuity, and disaster recovery efforts.
- Develop policies, procedures, documentation, and IT governance.
- Advise management on IT strategy, technology roadmaps, and investments.
- Manage vendors, service providers, and technology contracts.
- Act as the senior technical escalation point for complex issues.
- Combine strategic leadership with hands-on delivery, taking ownership from concept through implementation.
Who you work with?
You work closely with management, our Security Officer, the existing IT Specialist, software development teams, external IT partners and colleagues throughout Sorama.

IT operations run reliably and predictably. Security maturity has improved significantly. Documentation and governance are professionalized. Infrastructure scales with company growth. Business continuity and disaster recovery capabilities are strengthened. Automation has reduced operational overhead and employees experience an efficient, reliable IT environment.
What we are looking for
You have at least 5 years of relevant IT experience working with Microsoft 365, Entra ID and Azure. Strong knowledge of Windows, Linux, Networking and identity management.
You take ownership, follow through on commitments and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You build trust as a reliable expert, actively exchange knowledge with your IT colleague and help raise Sorama’s overall IT maturity.
In addition you have experience with:
- ISO 27001 or comparable security and compliance frameworks
- Cybersecurity best practices
- Microsoft Intune and Defender
- Atlassian Jira and Confluence
- Hybrid cloud environments
- DevOps practices
- High-tech or engineering environments
